Coastal Changes — Tuktoyuktuk, NWT

The Tuktoyuktuk project involved rectifying historical aerial photographs to geo-referenced survey data, digitizing the coast and cliff edge, and measuring any change. The aerial photography available ranged from 1950 to 2010.

The imageries were rectified using custom software developed by Tekmap Consulting for easy control point selection and RMS calculation. Years with multiple images were cropped and patch together into a single mosaic. The high water line and cliff edges were digitized from each rectified mosaic.
