From 2003 to 2005, Tekmap Consulting worked on the Bermuda Sea Level project. This was a joint project with the Geological Survey of Canada and the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI). Part of this project included mapping the shallow waters around Bermuda in areas with known date markers (e.g. drowned cedar forest). The SHLS was used for this mapping, which provided accurate depths for low stand sea level.
